This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.The Cleaning Process Eng. co-op will be part of the Cleaning Technologies Development (CTD) team within the WEC Development and Engineering organization at Entegris. The CTD team drives the overarching technology roadmap through scouting new technologies, design, and implementation of prototype equipment, as well as cleaning process optimization and cleaning integration into manufacturing. The Cleaning Process Eng. Co-op will primarily support the design and execution of experimental plans for novel technology exploration but will also be given the opportunity to assist in implementation of novel process equipment.The engineer will work with cross functional groups within Entegris. This role is based in our Billerica, MA facility.What You’ll Do:Conduct research under the direction of a more senior engineer(s) to identify new filter cleaning technologies and improved processes, that will meet technology roadmap targets as well as design specifications of new filter productsAssist with new equipment commissioning, and execution of experimental plans in the labCommunicate progress on a frequent basis including recommendations for process improvementEngage with a variety of stakeholders including R&D personnel, Operations, Facilities, and EHSDevelop critical thinking and problem solving associated with novel and/or improved process/equipment designIdentify and resolve issues proactivelyAnalyze data, prepare progress reports and presentationsWrite standard operating procedures for novel/improved processes, and assist with general day-to-day equipment and laboratory-related tasksWhat We Seek:Interest or experience working in a chemical laboratoryMotivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skillsGood organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information both verbally and in writingDetail-oriented, ability to take comprehensive notes and make observationsWillingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced working environmentAbility to work with intra and inter departmental functional areas as necessaryDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year:Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical EngineeringMust be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of June 2027 or laterEligibility:Must be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through JuneMust be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op programEntegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Applicant must be able to work independently in a chemical laboratory setting in accordance with EHS and lab procedures.WHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS?Lead.
