About the role#
Enerfab is hiring a Safety Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Blue Ash, Ohio. You will work directly with our Safety and Project Management teams to gain hands-on experience in construction safety.
What you'll do#
- Assist site safety managers with daily inspections, hazard identification, and tracking corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis for incidents and near misses to help prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct safety observations and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Help develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training materials for field personnel.
- Maintain safety records and ensure documentation like JSAs and permits are filed correctly.
- Collaborate with project teams to support a proactive safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong interest in a career within safety or construction.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and construction safety principles is preferred.
- Self-motivation and effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Comfort working in both office settings and active construction sites.
