About the role#
Enerfab is hiring a Safety Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside our safety and project management teams to gain hands-on experience in construction safety. This is a full-time, paid position based in Blue Ash, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Assist site safety managers with daily inspections, hazard identification, and tracking corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis for incidents or near misses to help prevent reoccurrence.
- Conduct safety observations, audits, and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training materials for field personnel.
- Maintain safety records and ensure documentation like JSAs and permits are filed correctly.
- Collaborate with project teams to support a proactive safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong interest in a career within safety or construction.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and general construction safety principles is preferred.
- Self-motivation and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Comfort working in both office settings and active construction sites.
