About the role#
This internship is a rotational program. You will spend 2 to 3 weeks in each of the following departments: Development, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Business Analytics. You are expected to complete all assigned projects and participate in a final presentation at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Track and analyze market trends.
- Conduct a case study to learn market analysis tools.
- Meet with department leaders involved in de novo projects, including those in real estate, design, construction, and operations.
- Observe meetings with joint venture partners, real estate brokers, and internal teams.
- Develop financial models for a de novo hospital, including ROI analysis.
- Complete analytical projects using risk management, Bloomberg, and banking data.
- Observe departmental meetings regarding corporate finance and treasury management.
- Conduct peer analyses for prior quarters.
- Analyze sell-side analyst models, research reports, and surveillance data.
- Observe earnings preparation processes and review historical investor relations materials.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a college or university, with preference for junior or senior standing.
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in finance or business administration.
- A clear interest in the department of your internship.
- Relevant class experience in the field.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The term runs from June 7, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
