About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our BI and Decision Support department. You will assist our developers and engineers with ongoing programs and projects. The role requires you to manage assigned tasks, support internal customers, and communicate progress to the BI Lead. You will also summarize technical work for management presentations.
What you'll do#
- Support BI developers and engineers on various projects.
- Manage tasks and projects as assigned by your manager.
- Respond to assistance requests from internal business units.
- Keep the BI Lead updated on activities and issues.
- Translate technical details into high-level summaries for IT and management.
- Complete all work accurately and on time.
- Participate in company intern activities and present on the skills you learned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with relational database design, including tables, indexes, views, and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, relational tables, and BI software.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site at our Birmingham, Alabama home office.
- The term runs from June 7, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
