About the role#
This internship provides training on income tax compliance, software, laws, and current issues. You will join the tax department to support our efforts in meeting federal, state, and local tax filing requirements for our consolidated group of entities.
What you'll do#
- Assist the department with income and franchise tax compliance.
- Manage tax compliance tasks for various entities within the consolidated group.
- Research specific income tax topics and state or local tax incentives.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a college or university, with a preference for junior or senior students.
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree in accounting.
- Coursework related to the field is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The term runs for Summer 2027, specifically from June 7, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
