About the role#
We are looking for a Community Manager Intern to join our team in San Francisco. You will work directly with our Community Lead and Head of Marketing to run the systems behind our events and online community. This is a hands-on role where you will help scale our global ambassador program as we launch in new cities. You will have real ownership of your projects starting from your first week.
What you'll do#
- Build and manage Luma event pages, including copy, registration, and reminders.
- Run check-in and on-site logistics for workshops, mixers, and events in San Francisco.
- Manage our Discord and Facebook groups by welcoming new members and answering questions.
- Respond to members across channels with speed and warmth.
- Record product walkthroughs, demos, and occasional livestreams.
- Source, screen, and interview ambassador candidates for new city launches.
- Onboard new city leads by walking them through playbooks and event calendars.
- Capture photos, clips, and stories at events to share with our community.
- Maintain our global events playbook to turn successful strategies into repeatable templates.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in AI, startups, and small business.
- Experience or comfort being on camera for livestreams and interviews.
- Strong, friendly writing skills that match our community tone.
- A reliable and organized approach to managing multiple timelines and trackers.
- A people-oriented personality, as you will be on your feet at events welcoming attendees.
- Familiarity with tools like Discord, Luma, Facebook Groups, Slack, and Notion.
- Experience with content creation tools like Canva, CapCut, or OBS.
- Currently pursuing studies in Business Administration, Communications, or Media Studies.

- This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, California.
- The position is full-time and paid.
