About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to build and ship production systems that serve users globally. You will work alongside engineers across our infrastructure, AI/ML, and product teams. This role involves taking ownership of projects from initial design through to production deployment while learning the core principles of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain backend services using Python or Go.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on infrastructure and product development.
- Contribute to production systems that serve millions of users.
- Apply principles of distributed systems, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, debugging, testing, and deployment.
- Take ownership of meaningful engineering projects from design to production.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduation from a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in an environment that requires high ownership.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or distributed systems is helpful.
- Experience building backend applications, APIs, or developer tools is a plus.
- Interest in AI, developer infrastructure, or large-scale systems.
