About the role#
This is a paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work within one of our branch underwriting departments to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. This role is part-time and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist underwriters in gathering the information needed to evaluate new business and renewal submissions.
- Communicate with agents and other external sources.
- Learn about our company culture, internal business processes, and product offerings.
- Develop a clear understanding of the insurance underwriting process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing program. Completion of your junior year is preferred.
- An interest in pursuing a career in property and casualty insurance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and proficiency with personal computers.

This position is based in Illinois with hybrid work options available in Downers Grove and Chicago.
