You as a Student Security Administrator will:
Physical Security Specifics: For physical security roles, tasks might include assisting with asset management tracking. Inventory: Itemizing documents and creating a naming & control system. Monitoring and Analysis: Monitoring security systems, logs, to detect potential threats or unauthorized access attempts. Risk and Vulnerability Assessment: Conducting vulnerability assessments of applications or networks, and helping implement controls to mitigate risks. Policy and Compliance: Assisting in the development, review, testing and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Project Support: Collaborating on security-related projects, which may involve implementing new security tools, designing solutions, or managing project coordination tasks. Reporting and Documentation: Collecting security metrics, preparing reports and maintaining documentation related to security assets and processes.
Key Skills and Competencies
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). SharePoint experience considered an asset. Strong communication and organizational skills.
