About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position based in Whitby, Ontario. You will support the CanAtom joint venture on the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project. This role offers a 12 or 16-month term where you will assist with procurement, materials, and facility operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide procurement support for accruals, purchase requisitions, shipment releases, and invoicing.
- Generate and maintain reports for procurement and engineering using various software programs and Excel.
- Coordinate between internal teams including engineering, quality, document control, execution, and project controls.
- Organize meetings, record minutes, and track action items for the procurement register.
- Assist the Project Procurement Director and Project Procurement Manager with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year degree program in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or Finance.
- Current enrollment in a 2nd or 3rd-year Engineering Technology or Technician program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience in procurement, business processes, or accounting is an asset.
Location & details#
- Role is based on-site in Whitby, Ontario.
- You must be able to travel between the Whitby-Tricont office, the Pickering office, and the site as needed.
