About the role#
This internship or co-op position supports our industrial engineering and continuous improvement teams. You will work alongside engineers, quality, environmental, and safety departments to solve problems. This role involves investigating root causes and researching solutions to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in our processes.
What you'll do#
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in equipment, workspaces, and processes.
- Evaluate manufacturing and business processes using time studies and process flow analysis.
- Develop and document Standard Work Instructions for production staff.
- Identify trends and root causes of quality defects through statistical analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.
- High mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform moderate-level mathematical calculations.
- Comfort working in a factory shop floor environment.
