About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Engineering Internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work directly with our engineering team to support technical tasks and project execution. This role allows you to apply your academic background to real-world construction challenges while learning our internal systems and engineering standards.
What you'll do#
- Support project engineering and drafting activities for both presale and contracted work.
- Assist with layout drawings, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs.
- Complete all required onboarding, safety training, and process orientation.
- Learn and implement our specific drafting and engineering practices.
- Work under the supervision of experienced team members to meet project specifications and safety expectations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general PC literacy.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is based 100% on-site at our headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
