About the role#
Terracon offers a summer internship for students interested in environmental engineering and consulting. You will join our team in Charlotte to gain practical experience, work on real projects, and learn from professionals in the field. This is a paid, full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments.
- Support active project work to see how technical decisions impact clients and the community.
- Develop skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report writing.
- Receive mentorship from experienced professionals.
- Join a nationwide internship cohort and share your work with leadership.
- Learn about safety practices, testing standards, project management, and client communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or a related technical field.
- A genuine interest in consulting and fieldwork.
- Curiosity and a strong ability to work within a team.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
