About the role#
The Power BI & Analytics Intern will join the Business Intelligence & Systems (BIS) team to build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports. This role supports internal stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, and operations by turning data into actionable insights. You will work directly with the BIS team to gain hands-on experience in data visualization, business analysis, and ETL development.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets from sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint lists, and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business units, IT, and BIS team members to gather requirements and clarify data needs.
- Develop data models, DAX measures, and standardized business metrics.
- Contribute to data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation efforts.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting on existing reports to ensure accuracy.
- Document datasets, business logic, and processes.
- Use Jira to manage work items, track progress, and collaborate with the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, including report creation and data modeling.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server with the ability to write SELECT queries, joins, filters, and aggregations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Jira.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
