About the role#
The Power BI & Analytics Intern will join the Business Intelligence & Systems team to build and maintain dashboards that provide insights across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, and operations. This role offers hands-on experience in data visualization, business analysis, and ETL development within a manufacturing environment. Interns will work directly with the BIS team and internal stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets from SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business units, IT, and BIS team members to define requirements and clarify data needs.
- Support the development of data models, DAX measures, and standardized business metrics.
- Contribute to data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation efforts.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting on existing reports to ensure accuracy.
- Document datasets, business logic, and processes.
- Use Jira to manage work items, track progress, and collaborate with the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, including report creation and data modeling.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server, including the ability to write SELECT queries, joins, filters, and aggregations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and project management tools like Jira.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business questions into data requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
