About the role#
Duquesne University is hiring a Computer Lab Consultant for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site, part-time position. You will support students and faculty in computer labs across campus.
What you'll do#
- Monitor computer labs to ensure a clean and quiet environment.
- Provide direct assistance to students and faculty with lab questions.
- Perform basic computer troubleshooting and printer maintenance.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of the lab spaces.
- Deliver computer supplies to various locations on campus.
- Assist with events as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic knowledge of technology troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and move 20-30lbs.
- Strong customer service skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Approximately 11 hours per week during business hours (Monday to Thursday 8:00am-10:00pm, Friday 8:00am-6:00pm) with weekend hours available.
