About the role#
Dreamscape Learn is seeking an Audio Intern to assist in creating immersive soundscapes for cinematic VR experiences. This is an unpaid internship intended for academic credit only. Interns will work under close supervision to gain hands-on experience with professional audio equipment and software, build a portfolio of real-world projects, and develop technical skills in recording, editing, mixing, and sound production.
What you'll do#
- Create original and engaging audio assets.
- Implement and engineer audio assets within the Unity game engine.
- Maintain and organize sound and music libraries.
- Set up and assist during voice-over and sound effects sessions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Technical understanding of sound engineering techniques such as EQ and compression.
- Working knowledge of recording software and hardware, including experience with at least one DAW (such as Nuendo, Logic, Pro Tools, or Ableton).
- Understanding of post-production or game audio workflows.
- Experience with the Unity game engine.
- Ability to adapt to changing creative direction and incorporate constructive feedback.
- Applicants must provide their own computer.
