About the role#
As an Embedded Quality & Fielded Systems Intern, you will collaborate with engineers to support the project development lifecycle. You will work across planning, requirements design, build, test, and delivery phases to ensure products meet Draper Quality Management System standards, ISO 9001:2015, and specific customer requirements. This role involves working with task leads and engineering teams to address test requirements, manufacturing processes, and test equipment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and enhance engineering solutions for technical challenges.
- Implement, test, and perform analysis on engineering products.
- Generate and present test reports, including data plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions.
- Complete assignments designed to build practical knowledge of engineering processes, equipment, and systems.
- Support documentation efforts throughout the testing process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
- An exceptional academic record and a strong desire to learn.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and self-directed learning capabilities.
- Preferred experience includes software development and testing (C, C#, Python), Power BI, and the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence).
- Preferred familiarity with quality assurance methodologies, such as root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Must be a US citizen.
