About the role#
The Commercial Strategy and Business Development Intern will join the OPIS Sales Business Unit for a 10-week summer program. You will support the team in driving strategic data initiatives focused on customer behavior, commercial efficiency, and revenue growth. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a commercial strategy function while contributing to the OPIS Commercial Excellence program.
What you'll do#
- Conduct data analysis to identify business opportunities and challenges.
- Assist the team in centralizing usage statistics, sales insights, and customer engagement policies.
- Streamline commercial reporting processes.
- Support Product Managers by identifying white space opportunities and sizing the total addressable market.
- Build and maintain a centralized white space repository.
- Research market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategies.
- Create reports and visualizations to share findings with technical and non-technical teams.
- Document processes and best practices.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs).
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, graduating between December 2027 and July 2029.
- Ability to work full-time, on-site, from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to think strategically and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn data analysis software like PowerBI, Google Analytics, or Looker Studio.
- Basic knowledge of Python or SQL is a plus.
- Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa.
