About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based at our Durham, North Carolina facility. You will work on-site to support bioprocessing innovation by evaluating and optimizing small-scale purification protocols for IsoTag reagents. This role offers hands-on experience in a laboratory environment where your work directly impacts product performance and process development.
What you'll do#
- Test and evaluate small-scale purification protocols for IsoTag reagents.
- Perform analytical testing using techniques such as SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Compile and interpret experimental data.
- Present your findings to both technical and business audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in biology, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Previous wet laboratory experience gained through coursework, research, or prior internships.
- Experience with pipetting and laboratory techniques like SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and UV-Vis.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and a desire to take initiative.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including moving around a wet laboratory and lifting up to 30 pounds.
