About the role#
Domtar is seeking a Chemical Co-op to join our team in Rothschild, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, temporary position available for the Fall and Winter 2027 terms. You will work on-site, gaining technical exposure to production and support units while collaborating with electrical and mechanical teams.
What you'll do#
- Improve quality control for paper machines by identifying and troubleshooting potential problems.
- Analyze production costs and productivity to develop improvement solutions.
- Research and create processes and guidelines for operational units.
- Support projects based on piping and instrumentation.
- Decipher data to create project recommendations and update plans, drawings, and materials.
- Document findings in company systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a freshman, sophomore, or junior in an accredited degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong technical writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
- CAD experience is preferred.
