    About the role#

    Domtar is seeking students for a co-op program at our Nekoosa, Wisconsin facility. This full-time, temporary position offers students the chance to work within our pulp and paper operations. You will be integrated into the team, work with mentors, and gain exposure to site operations, maintenance, and quality assurance. The program lasts 6 months or longer and requires 40 hours of work per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify potential problems and troubleshoot issues to improve paper machine quality control.
    • Analyze production costs and productivity to develop improvement solutions.
    • Support piping and instrumentation projects within electrical and mechanical teams.
    • Research and create processes and guidelines for various operational units.
    • Interpret data to create project recommendations and update project plans.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a freshman, sophomore, or junior in an accredited degree program.
    • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or Paper Science.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong technical writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to follow and enforce company, safety, and environmental policies.

    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Duration: 6+ months.
