    About the role#

    The Mountain West Development Intern supports analysts, associates, and developers throughout the real estate development process. You will assist with market analysis, financial modeling, and project planning. This role is based in our Scottsdale office and focuses on the development of affordable housing communities.

    What you'll do#

    • Research demographic trends, rental rates, and occupancy levels to evaluate potential development opportunities.
    • Build and update financial models and cash flow projections.
    • Review financial and operational data for prospective property acquisitions.
    • Gather documentation for financing and tax credit applications.
    • Track project milestones using construction matrices and development schedules.
    • Review legal agreements and due diligence materials.
    • Work with internal team members and external project partners.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated interest in real estate development or finance, with a preference for interest in affordable housing.
    • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to organize multiple assignments and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
    • Capability to handle confidential business information with discretion.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 7, 2027, to May 21, 2027).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Status: Full-time and paid position.
