About the role#
The Central Development Intern supports the development team by assisting with the real estate development process. You will work alongside analysts, associates, and project partners to evaluate potential development opportunities and monitor active projects. This is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research to analyze demographic trends, rental rates, and occupancy levels.
- Build and update financial models and cash flow projections.
- Assist in the evaluation of prospective acquisitions by organizing financial and property information.
- Prepare documentation for tax credit applications and financing submissions.
- Maintain project schedules, construction matrices, and development trackers.
- Review legal documents, investment agreements, and due diligence materials.
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners on project planning and construction administration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to organize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion when handling confidential business information.
- An interest in real estate development or finance, with a preference for candidates interested in affordable housing.
