About the role#
The Finance Tax Intern supports our Tax team by assisting with compliance, reporting, analysis, and administrative tasks. You will gain experience with corporate, partnership, property, and state tax processes. This role involves collaborating with internal team members and external partners to support tax filings and operational projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal, state, local, partnership, and property tax returns, schedules, and workpapers.
- Review and organize financial information to meet compliance and reporting needs.
- Research and monitor filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Complete tax-related analyses, reconciliations, and special projects.
- Track invoices, prepare payment requests, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Review and track annual state registrations, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate tax records, databases, and filing systems.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting activities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Ability to work with moderate independence and collaborate effectively across the organization.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and tax data.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or other data tools is a plus.
- Interest in tax accounting, tax compliance, real estate taxation, or corporate finance is preferred.

- Term: Summer 2027 (approximately June 8, 2027, to August 20, 2027).
