About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a Nuclear Engineering student for the Summer 2027 internship at the North Anna Power Station in Mineral, Virginia. You will join the Reactor Engineering group to support technical projects and plant operations. An experienced engineer will mentor you throughout the session. Your specific assignments will depend on your completed coursework.
What you'll do#
- Acquire and analyze reactor flux data for power distribution surveillances.
- Perform ranking cycle thermal performance analysis.
- Trend reactor performance data.
- Conduct walkdowns of primary plant systems.
- Develop technical products for the Reactor Engineering team.
- Perform hands-on evaluations of plant modifications in the field.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Nuclear Engineering at an ABET accredited school.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Working knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and industry practices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.

- Compensation: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.
