About the role#
The Peer LEADer and Campus Operations Student Worker role combines peer mentoring, student success, and campus operations. You will work with the Student Success and Engagement, Operations, and Admissions teams to foster a welcoming environment for students. This position is a paid student leadership opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a peer mentor and role model for other students.
- Lead campus tours and assist with recruitment and admission events.
- Help with event logistics, including setup, breakdown, room preparation, and managing technology.
- Provide administrative support such as filing, scheduling, and communications.
- Conduct student outreach and check-ins while referring peers to campus resources.
- Maintain student spaces like La Casa and the Resource Center.
- Attend required meetings and staff trainings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the Dominican University Chicago campus.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA policies.
- Preference for students majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or Human Resources.
- Spanish language skills are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $17.05 per hour.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends required.
