About the role#
The Business Development Intern supports our team by assisting with outreach, research, and the coordination of prospective client activities. You will gain exposure to our sales process, client engagement strategies, and service offerings while contributing to business development initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Reach out to prospective clients by phone and email to help schedule meetings.
- Coordinate and prepare for client meetings, including managing calendars and gathering materials.
- Research prospective clients and industries to identify potential business needs.
- Build and maintain prospective client lists and sales leads through data gathering.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on various projects.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities in our internal systems.
- Participate in internal meetings to learn about our services and sales processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in sales, business development, or client-facing work.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, professional attitude and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship scheduled for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Chicago, Illinois.
- This position follows a hybrid work modality.
- You will work 29 hours per week.
