About the role#
As an Application Development Intern, you will work on large scale enterprise business application platforms. You will contribute to next-generation development using browser-based clients and Java-based REST services. This role provides direct experience with modern system architectures like SOA, EDA, and containerization. You will apply your academic background to real-world technical problems and practice communicating technical concepts to business audiences.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain enterprise-level application platforms.
- Develop browser-based clients and backend services.
- Gain hands-on experience with REST, JSON, Kafka, and containerization.
- Translate Computer Science and Engineering principles into functional software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to explain technical work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated programming experience in Java, Python, C++, or a similar language.
- Completed at least one course or equivalent experience in a mainstream programming language.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design analysis.
- Knowledge of modern web development frameworks like HTML/CSS, Angular, or React.
- Familiarity with software architecture, Object-Oriented analysis, and common design patterns.
