About the role#
The Mail Center handles the receipt, storage, and delivery of mail and packages for faculty, staff, students, and the community. As a USPS Contract Postal Unit, the office also sells stamps and manages outgoing postage. You will act as a primary point of contact for visitors and assist with the daily operations of the mailroom.
What you'll do#
- Scan incoming items using PackageX Receive software.
- Organize mail and packages for students, faculty, and staff in designated areas.
- Deliver items to assigned locations and collect outgoing mail.
- Facilitate student mail and package pickups at the window.
- Calculate cash transactions and apply the correct postage to outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly office and warehouse environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Delaware Valley University.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and postage.
- A clean driver license and the ability to safely operate a university van.
- Ability to lift items weighing 25 lbs or more and perform tasks involving walking, bending, and standing.
