About the role#
As an intern in production testing and prototyping, you will support the operations team in developing, implementing, and maintaining production tests for the company's product portfolio. This includes electric propulsion systems, traction inverters, chargers, and electronic control boards. You will manage multiple projects related to prototypes, process improvement, and the creation of project management tools.
What you'll do#
- Develop production testing strategies and methods for manufactured products.
- Write specifications, analyze new equipment submissions, and qualify equipment upon receipt.
- Perform commissioning of test stations on-site and at international joint ventures, suppliers, and production sites.
- Support production operations and maintain production documentation and control plans.
- Address non-conformities in production and inspection while participating in customer return processing.
- Participate in new product engineering and prototype testing.
- Collaborate on maintaining quality systems including ISO9001 and IATF16949.
- Develop and optimize project management tools and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate prototype and industrialization technician teams.
- Design new test equipment and tooling while adhering to health, safety, and ergonomic standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, component plans, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
- Experience with National Instruments tools like TestStand, LabVIEW, and XCP is an asset.
- Programming experience in languages such as VBA, Java, JavaScript, or C# is an asset.
- Familiarity with Altium Designer and laboratory instruments is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work autonomously.
