About the role#
The Environmental Intern will gain insight into the day-to-day operations of the HVAC business and relevant EH&S regulations. You will work across departments including Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to promote sustainability efforts and support the goal of achieving Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions. This 11-week summer program focuses on Greenhouse Gas reduction, Green Technology, ISO 14001 EMS, and environmental reporting. You will also interface with vendor partners and community stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute assigned projects and communicate policies.
- Assist with the implementation of strategic goals and objectives for facility EH&S programs.
- Develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures across manufacturing, distribution, labs, and office environments.
- Analyze trends and metrics to propose effective solutions.
- Support compliance auditing activities.
- Complete incident investigations, project evaluations, and maintain documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering programs.
- Graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
