About the role#
As a Design Engineering Intern, you will join the Engineering team to develop and sustain residential and commercial HVAC products. You will work on individual and group projects throughout the 11-week summer program. This role involves hands-on experience with product development, prototype testing, and coordination with vendors.
What you'll do#
- Create, revise, and sustain HVAC product designs.
- Analyze designs using tolerance, thermodynamic, finite element, and computational fluid dynamic methods.
- Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests.
- Redesign internal components to improve system quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Manage project schedules for new and existing designs.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to product design and quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Mechanical Engineering major.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
