About the role#
This is a full-time, 11-week summer internship based at the Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller, Texas. You will work on an individual project with your team while collaborating with other interns on a group project. The program includes opportunities to network across functions and participate in team building activities.
What you'll do#
- Quantify and improve manufacturing processes to support cost reduction and quality initiatives.
- Work with engineering teams to apply robotics for increased production quality and efficiency.
- Perform line and work element balancing, time studies, and workflow improvements.
- Create and maintain operator method sheets to ensure production rates and quality standards.
- Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems.
- Plan sequences of operations and perform capacity planning to improve facility utilization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering degree program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work on-site in Waller, Texas.
- Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
