About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the pharmacy team. You help maintain a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care, regulatory compliance, and workflow management. This role involves direct interaction with patients and requires a commitment to providing quality health care services.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow pharmacy professional practices.
- Manage inventory, workflow, and quality assurance tasks.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide support for patient care programs.
- Model company values by leading with heart, showing empathy, and collaborating with your team.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, reach overhead, and use finger dexterity for precise tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks requiring stooping or bending.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
