About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help deliver care to patients and contribute to a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role involves supporting daily pharmacy operations, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Support patient care programs and help patients manage chronic or specialty conditions.
- Assist with inventory management and quality assurance tasks.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Foster a positive team culture that values enthusiasm and care.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations and requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes and support the company purpose.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks like scanning and bagging items.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
