About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients and supporting the pharmacy team. This position involves managing patient care programs and maintaining high standards for professional practice.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow all regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Lead with empathy and help foster a team culture of energy and pride.
- Collaborate with the team to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Must be immunization eligible.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, use finger dexterity, and lift up to 20 lbs.
