About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will focus on delivering care to patients, managing workflows, and maintaining a safe environment. This is a part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks related to patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Provide immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Foster a team culture that values energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with colleagues to reach better health outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular, predictable attendance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stoop to move items between high and low positions.
- Visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and inspecting small parts.
- Ability to communicate instructions clearly to customers and colleagues.
