About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will contribute to a safe and effective pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience. This is a part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and provide customer service.
- Support patient safety and maintain quality assurance standards.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes, excluding final prescription verification.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Foster a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with team members to improve outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift, scan, and bag items, and reach overhead.
- Precision control and finger dexterity for handling pharmacy tasks.
- Close visual acuity for reading and transcribing information.
- Ability to orally communicate instructions to customers and colleagues.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
