About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain an overview of pharmacy operations while supporting the team in delivering patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Provide caring service and assist patients with medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities like cycle counts and medication restocking.
- Deliver additional health care services as permitted by law.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- Ability to work at your home store and travel to other locations in the market as needed.

- This role is based in Wyandotte, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
