About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This role involves working under the direction of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Complete a structured training roadmap including key learning experiences and activities.
- Support pharmacy operations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow protocols at all workstations.
- Provide patient care by offering immunizations, point-of-care testing, and fielding medical questions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Assist with basic inventory tasks such as cycle counts, medication deliveries, and returns.
- Mentor pharmacy team members and provide in-the-moment coaching.
- Monitor for adverse reactions and document patient information for health services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service environment.
- Ability to obtain immunization certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
