About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will help deliver care to patients, manage inventory, and support pharmacy workflow. This role is a part-time position focused on professional growth and gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow all regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Deliver care and support to patients, caregivers, and colleagues with empathy and compassion.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers healthy.
- Collaborate with your team to promote a culture of energy and pride.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state requirements.
- Align with company goals to improve access and quality of care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, and fine motor skills.
- Visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and visual inspection.
- Immunization eligibility.
