About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering quality care, managing pharmacy workflows, and ensuring patient safety. You will contribute to a team culture that values empathy, compassion, and consistent service.
What you'll do#
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflows, excluding final prescription verification.
- Support patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Promote a positive team environment through energy and enthusiasm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and precision control.
- Ability to reach, stoop, and perform visual inspections of small parts and computer terminals.
