About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on developing your clinical and technical skills to prepare for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and key learning activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure safe and accurate pharmacy operations.
- Provide patient care by offering immunizations, point-of-care testing, and fielding medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify details with prescribers.
- Perform inventory tasks such as processing deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members as your experience grows.
- Document and track patient information for vaccinations and health services.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel to other store locations within the market as needed.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
