About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of our retail pharmacy. You will play a part in patient care by helping manage chronic conditions and providing health guidance. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, effective work environment while you gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and quality assurance tasks.
- Deliver care to patients and assist with the adoption of patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and your team.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve health outcomes and support our purpose.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- This is a part-time, on-site role.
- Pay range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
- This position is paid and eligible for benefits including dental, vision, wellness resources, and employee discounts depending on hours worked.
