About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. You will contribute to a team environment while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and provide customer service.
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Manage inventory, workflow, and patient care programs.
- Handle regulatory requirements and quality assurance tasks.
- Perform professional practice duties and patient safety protocols.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Current intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and reach or stoop as needed.
- Visual acuity for reading, typing, and inspecting small parts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
