About the role#
The Organizational Effectiveness internship is an 11-week program within the Executive Management Office. You will work with leaders and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, improve organizational effectiveness, and manage executive priorities. This role focuses on change management, internal communications, and employee engagement.
What you'll do#
- Support change management through stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and adoption planning.
- Create communication materials, including leadership updates, presentations, FAQs, and employee communications.
- Assist with planning and executing employee engagement, culture, and recognition initiatives.
- Build project management skills by coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and managing documentation.
- Analyze survey results, stakeholder feedback, and organizational metrics.
- Develop training materials and job aids to support adoption activities.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to track project progress.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028.
- Majors in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, sports, or projects.
- Internship, work, or project experience in a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to solve problems.
- Interest in organizational effectiveness, process improvement, or project management.
- Ability to collaborate in team environments and adapt to change.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship at $26 per hour.
- The program runs from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027.
- Work modality is hybrid, with three days per week in the Hartford, Connecticut office.
- Note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
