About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the asphalt industry. You will work with the management team to understand how different departments operate, including estimating, plant operations, and quality control. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Spend time in the field to learn the daily tasks required to complete a construction project.
- Perform physical labor such as shoveling and raking materials when necessary.
- Assist the team with project documentation requirements.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate student.
- Pursuit of a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related engineering program.
- A desire to build a career in the construction industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the internet and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends, with the possibility of overtime.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
