About the role#
Cotiviti is looking for a Data Engineering Intern to join our Artificial Intelligence team. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and deploy cloud-based data pipelines. This role focuses on data engineering, analytics, and exploration.
What you'll do#
- Build data pipelines in the cloud using Python, Spark, and SQL on the Databricks platform.
- Assist in creating data and analytics proofs of concept within Databricks.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis on various sources, including Jira project management data.
- Document data quality checks, access controls, and data governance protocols.
- Establish processes to document data assets and improve their discoverability.
- Apply your conceptual understanding of machine learning to team projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or pursuing a Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Interest in collaborating with a large team of data science practitioners.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, paid, full-time internship.
- Work is available on a rolling basis.
- You must provide a dedicated, secure workspace with high-speed internet access.
- Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $30.00 per hour.
