About the role#
This is a full-time, 10-week summer internship program based in Bossier City, Louisiana. You will work alongside GDIT professionals to deliver services for our clients. The program includes opportunities to collaborate with a team of peers on a business challenge, participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion, and interact with GDIT leadership. You will also take part in professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
Interns in this role support the development of generative AI solutions. You will assist with design, configuration, testing, documentation, and data analysis. You will also help evaluate generative AI capabilities, improve solution performance and user experience, and contribute to prototypes and features for future customer implementations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or master degree program in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related STEM field at a United States college or university.
- At least one semester of study remaining after the internship concludes.
- Knowledge of AI engineering techniques and at least one major cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- An interest in big data, data transformation, model selection, cross-validation, and deployment.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and communicate technical challenges clearly.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams.
